California Wives - Debut Album 'Art History'

This band have just come under my radar and despite their name they are actually from Chicago, not California so put all the stereotypes of Californian music out of your head.  Paste Magazine wrote a solid review of the album in that this album displays equal parts indie rock music and electronic rock music which is a trend that I'm a fan of because it offers so much variety.  I like the singers voice and overall sound so as Paste said 'Art History' is a "solid debut effort from a band in the process of defining their sound". The album was produced by my favourite producer/engineer/mixer out there, the man with the most rock n' roll name in the business Mr Claudius Mittendorfer! Here is some trivia for you . . . Tim Wheeler of Ash played the Mellotron on this record and Tanya  from Sherlock's Daughter offered her voice for some backing vocals.

Have a Listen and then go buy the album, it just came out yesterday! I just bought my copy and am enjoying listening to it and getting familiar with it track by track . . . a favourite is forming!
